The Add Pink and Stir Story…
Hello there! My name is LeeAnn Brissett and I am an Artist and Maker, currently located in Sunny Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
I have had a long standing love relationship with bright colors and stationery and have always wanted to create my own line of products. The digital age definitely staked its claim on me and I almost forgot that feeling of utter satisfaction I would get finding just the right card, note pad, pen or even the right pencil case.
As an Art student, my major was Graphic Design but I always had a fondness for my Printmaking classes. In 2016, I took my first Letterpress class at a local printmaking studio (shout out to Ingrid Schindall and ISProjects) and it made me so HAPPY. So, in 2018 I decided to finally start my own stationery and paper goods brand utilizing my design, illustration and printmaking skills.
Fast forward to 2019 and halfway through I bought my own press! This wasn’t the original timeline, but sometimes these things get chosen for you. I’ve named my press “Missy” and she is a Chandler & Price Old-Style Platen Press, built circa 1907. She is the best thing that could have happened to me and to Add Pink and Stir and she is helping to make so many dreams a reality.
My focus is creating small-batch goods that are handmade and full of color! I want to help brighten your day, inspire positive thought and action, and maybe get you to give up a chuckle or two.
With every purchase that you make, I am sharing my love for stationery and paper goods and helping you to have a meaningful experience or to create a meaningful experience for others. I want you to feel the same satisfaction I have felt over the years, every time I have found just the right card or message to share with someone.
Pick up a card, print, or accessory today and take a few minutes to brighten someone’s day!
Wait, Wait…before you go! I almost forgot this one...
Please join me on the “snail mail” journey through my note-writing project - Post that Note. You can follow my progress on Instagram @postthatnote. Weekly, I send cards, through the mail, to those that need them most. As a bonus, in addition to my weekly notes, for every purchase that includes a “Thank you” themed card, I send a card out an additional card, with a kind note, to someone who needs it.
